creative workshops

Growth and learning for adults with learning disabilities, difficulties and autism spectrum disorder

Unlocking our creativity can bring enormous benefits to our sense of wellbeing. Nature, community and creativity are all powerful influences on our happiness and we strive to offer a range of different activities across our creative programme so that everyone can find something to engage with:

  • Photography

  • Arts and crafts

  • Visual and creative arts

  • Textiles

  • Jewellery making

  • Maintenance and upcycling

These are group sessions and exercising our creative powers can be a great way to bond with others and find common ground too. These sessions also feed into the Ouseburn Farm shop, and Placements get huge satisfaction from seeing some of the things they create on sale. All proceeds are reinvested back in the Placement programme.

Key benefits:

Improved coordination and motor skills
Opportunities for meaningful social interaction
Nurtures creativity

Increased self esteem and positive self-identity
Better mental wellbeing
Promotes mindfulness and meditation
